Due to the shortage of log resources, Ghana’s timber exports in the first quarter fell from 90,000 cubic meters in the same period last year to 62,000 cubic meters in the first quarter of this year, a drop of nearly one-third, and the value of exported timber also increased from the same period last year. US$30 million fell to US$22 million in the first quarter of this year.
